This application works only you have an ISDN line installed. If you're using the Internet in other form, then the application is useless and shouldn't be installed. Make sure that you have a modem installed in your computer and a phone line attached to its port.
This application puts your Internet on hold while you can use the phone line. Practically, it's delaying the Internet connection to make it possible to answer the phone.
Unfortunately, a failed update or a missing file, etc. can make your answering unavailable. Therefore, a simple and efficient solution to resolve this issue, is to reinstall NetWaiting. Before you start the reinstallation process again, you need to uninstall this application (go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program, or you can use an uninstalling tool). Download again the setup files through its official webpage. After the download is complete, open the setup file and start the installation process.
I have a broadband connection to my Dell Latitude D620 (Core Duo, Windows XP Home ed. 5.1 SP 3 ). I've tried to uninstall NetWaiting through "Add & Remove Programs". The problem is, I get a popup "Before continuing, turn NetWaiting off". But Task Manager confirms it's not on. I click "OK" on the popup, but the uninstall won't continue. Any ideas?

Try using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
After that, try running AdwCleaner to make sure that there are no leftover rogue registry keys or toolbars in your system.

Why can't I answer my phone calls?
